The seats look hokey!

I like the jail bars... gotta make sure your rear seat passengers don't bang into the windows!

No whine but this later Bus has what looks like a pretty nice Green rear kick in it

When did PayPal go to 4%, I thought it was 2.9% + $0.30 for each transaction, save for the few circumstances when one might avoid fees altogether? WTF. Then again, I have also seen people asking 5%. And since I am whining, when something says $20 shipped, for example, why then do you ask me to pay more for the fees? I thought it was "shipped" at $20. Thanks for the ear(s).

This took 18 months to sell.

http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1735134

It was dry as a bone, straight, and had pretty nice original paint inside and out.

I took less too, and I think I included shipping as well. I paid the PayPal fees too. It was original paint but got blasted and repainted by the next owner.

I don't think you could sell those doors above in that condition for $100 each. I personally would not pay to ship them to me even if the doors were free.

Yes, it is.

The only time it could hit 4% in total is if it's something pretty cheap because of the 30 cents in there.

Not the most perfect math but here's an an example:
Fees on $20 would be:
2.9% = $0.58
$0.58 + $0.30 = $0.88

$0.88 / $20 = 4.4%

Good point, some of these people may be trying to cover all bases by charging the maximum.

Domestic PayPal fees on $1500 would be $43.50 + 0.30= $43.80
4% of $1500 = $60.00.
So he is asking for a bonus of $16.20 for the convenience of getting paid instantly. I wonder how that's working for him.

Is the math that tricky? I have a calculator on my phone.
I had someone once get annoyed at me when I paid the actual paypal fees rather than the seller's rounded up fees. Complete BS, as it helps both buyer and seller to use paypal, but is just irritating to insist on being paid extra to be paid with PayPal.

Just looked at the pics, $1500 is dreaming for a pair of doors blown out at the bottom, so why not ask for a $16.20 bonus?

I refuse to buy from someone that wants the paypal fees added to the bill. I don't care how bad I need or want the part. I'll pass on it just for principals.

I have been offering a 4% discount from my "shipped" price if the buyer wants to pay cash or with a USPS MO for the last 5 or 6 years. NO ONE has taken me up on it or even asked about it.

If you had something I wanted, I certainly would have taken your offer. I like using cash.

What a turd. The crap box isn't worth half that amount. I think he missed the sucker train about two years ago.

I feel for the sucker that lays out 40k for this bus.
Seller was honest to showed the floors, what about the rest of the underside.

Also, the freshly painted apron is already prepped for the obligatory beetle exhaust, very thoughtful
