| I have a '90 cabriolet with a 9-a or a-9 Trans in it......Will an ACN fit in with no other modifications? I want an easy swap. I found 2 websites about transmissions. One said that the acn had 90 mm flanges and the other said it had 100mm. Can anyone please help me with this info or give me an idea where to look? Thanks |

Any other 5-speed A1/A2 trans can be swapped in; if you get one from a 16v car, you will need to use a 16v clutch due to the larger input shaft.
If you have 90mm inner CV joints, and the replacement tranny has 100mm joints, they can be swapped over. I'd recommend the drive flange seal kit(VW # 020.498.085.G) to help get it done. |
