I am just curious what you would sell something like the yellow buggy for.
That has to be the finest looking buggy I have ever seen. Nice set up! I used to have a Mantis Race frame buggy but gave it up due to time and $, but that has changed and I'm looking to get on the trails again ( with family) and that is the first thing that will fit my family.
Thanks in advance, any information would be appreciated. |

riNR, I pm'd you.
The car is coming along ok, not as fast as I would like, but it's moving! have to finish a few seat belt tabs and finally got the radiator on order(should have it soon) and need to finish those mounts. Then I will disassemble the car for powdercoat. Should be ready for sandsports!!! |

that is one sweet car. one thing i dont like about tub buggies is all that black nothing on the lower part of the body. my buddy put some polished diamond plate on his, have you ever considered something like that?
sorry you cant see it that great, and that its in black and white. (my g/f likes black and white pics for some reason...) |

| Scott makes side panels that are flat and are finished gel coat to match the rest of the body and they bolt or glue on. The side pods stick out a little to far for my taste and plus you could damage them easier when off-roading. I should have some of the side panels on my green buggy in the next month or two. |

Manxmann,
Just got the pm. Thanks. I'm still looking into many options and vacations. I'm into lots of different stuff ie. windsurfing, mountain biking, business so I have to keep things in balance.
As for comments of too much black on the bottom of the buggy? Thing looks awesome the way it is. Side pods look like crap but the checker plate might be a nice contrast.
I'm curious what the 2.0 turbo dynos out at. |

| Brandon; your motors are fitting the chassis like a glove. turning the intake around and making the exhaust and turbo fit all together worked out just right. :D |

Hey tako: here's some pic's of the new side panals, it's not the shiney diamond plate your buddy has, but it's a cleaner look then just chopped fiberglass.

Well, I finally got the buggy out to Ocotillo Wells for the shake-down run and it took every thing I throw at it. Ran about 25 gallons of gas through it and the motor ran awesome. The suspension worked well and ran flawless through the whoops at speeds up to 55 mph
And here's a video of it going down the road (wife didn't turn off the camera at the end)

Looks like a great trip. Glad to hear that the car ran so well. Mine is still collecting dust for the moment. I decided to go VW, motor wise. That way I can still show it at the shows. Pat over at CB should have it finished next month. Your wife might not have turned the cam off at the end, but she did a great job until that point! Post up some more video of your next trip, gives us something to dream about. I will try to post up a few updated pics of mine if I can this week.
Good to hear from ya..... |

| well, I am getting pretty close to running. I have a motor on the way, and should get all the pedals shifter Monday or tuesday. I think I will be running by Christmas. Quick question??? What are you guys doing for a speedo? How do I set that up if I am running 4 wheel disk? I know you have the answer Dan... Also, call me when you get a chance, I need to order a few things from you next week if I can! Thanks, Happy turkey day!!! |
