| Does anyone know if an early oval hood prop will work for a split ? My car is missing the prop all together and I'm in search for one.Thanks for the help |

| the front hood needs 3 bolts to fasten the hood (2 x 3 bolt hinges knee) And the ovals only have 2x 2bults hinges knee, but i dont know when they change it but it was -53 sometime |

| PS i have one that is a correct split hood..... complete but the alu trim is missing.... needs restoration.... send pm if you whant to talk..... |

| From what I've seen, there are only two styles of hood props. The earlier ones used up till '55, had a square box near the elbow. The later style (1956-61) has a small hook/finger at the elbow. |

mid/late 53. some ovals had the zwitter thee-bolt hood including my 6-53 |
