NIIICE!

Question...I am not very savvy on single cabs but were those side "tool boxes" an option or part of some sort of commercial line? Thanks

I put them there, they are very useful. there is one other singlecab that I know of that has them too. there are pics of it in the gallery.

Who's slippin' now :?:

There a guy local to me that fit an A frame for hauling glass on his Single Cab. Every time I see it I think what a damn good idea.

Where did that Binz come from?
What number is it?
If it's not already in the registry add it!

i bought it from a family in downey, ca. they had it in their backyard for 22 years!!! i believe it is 539, but the tag is missing. the writing above the driver appears to show 539, per the pic below. the vin shows it was built in november, 1958. i emailed dropgates this morning.

Nice score. I hope you got a good deal on it.
Just goes to show that there are still VW's to be found out there.

tough to say, as there is not much info on pricing out there for binz's, but i can say i apparently was happy to spend the money, and the seller seemed happy to get it, so a good deal by us :)

you are right, they are still out there!!!

That looks like the one that was made running and brought to this year's VW Classic. Wade/Dropgates has the info on it and took a bunch of photos there.

It was pretty expensive at the show, I guess he came down to earth later.

Nice score, it looked pretty dry from what I remember.

This whole last page has been people quoting the same pictures of the same vehicles over and over again. Completely off topic.

Yeah that's an epidemic on these forums

They should enable a control in the forum software that prevents the same pictures from being quoted more than one time
