I have a 3 fold rag top assy and roof section. What is it worth??

I have a old german mechanical dip stick oil temp guage. the guage has C degrees and F degrees and is design to mount in the dash. 2 1/16 dia. guage. It has a long cable going to a dip stick which is the sending unit. Anybody ever see one of these??

Complete 3-fold roof clips are exchanging hands in the $1400-$1800 region. But $1500 is about the market value

Yep, That's it....Mine is not NOS but it's the same piece.
I posted a picture of mine on the samba classifieds.

Nice. I remember those from 10 years ago fetching only $300-$400

That was alot of money then, but I was able to purchase an NOS one. I remember when those gauges were featured in the July 1994 issue of Hot VWs (Vintage Power article) and an old friend of mine had one. I rushed over to his place & bought it for $300 before he saw the article in the magazine.

That's sounds like a story I heard years back about
this breaking up with his girl friend and his best friend he
grew up with took her out the next day and got married 2 months later

Dude, $300-400 was the going rate for the gauges back in '94. I just wanted to get it before he saw the feature and raise his price up.
