Should he paint the rest of the chrome trim???

I say it's fine the way it is...

Me, I would chrome it. Otherwise remove the chrome guard behind the hood handle and live the rest as is.

I'd paint the bumpers, headlight rings & hood handle the same Grey body color. Shave the horn grills. Then it'll look like a true Standard model.

That's a pretty sweet look. With the painted bumpers it has a kind of a "toy car" effect to it.

I think black side trim would be too much though. The best solution would be no side or hood chrome at all. And I'd paint the headlight rings and handle black, and lose the chrome handle guard.

Either way I like it. Definately something different. Got any more pics?

I forgot to ask, how'd you get the chrome off the bumpers to paint them?

My 67 base model had everything painted body colour when I got it - apart from the bumpers, but they could have been added later. Even the quarter lights, body trim and headlamp trim was white. Personally I would prefer chrome - thats what I am going for.

:)
