The attachement to its base is off-set. Others are center mounted.

Whats different? Looks the same as the 66 I had and the 64 I just stripped out.

The rear latch of the 67 is different, because it doesn't have the bracket to hold the hatch release button. However, if you have problems with your 67's latch like I did, you can use one from a 64-66. The 64 I have worked. Its in there now. Works fine.

early 67's had single circiut master cylinders and 66 style radio blockoffs.

What does that have to do with the dash? Someone said the dash in a 67 is different that the rest. Other that the 4 way flasher switch, black knobs and the 12V sticker, the dash looks the same as the 64 and 66 I had.

So does ours. Sept 66 manufacture.

My 67 is from sept. too, if I remember correctly. Has high beam swith on the turn signal thing and no backup lights. Oh and I need the correct pointed bumpers. If anyone has them, hit me up. My slashed bumpers are pretty good.

dash on later 67's have different larger radio hole than early 67 and down. but if you had an early 67 then yes it looked same as 66,65,64 dash. and it wont have the little red light above wiper switch like my 65 dash.

Yes

Uh. I am using a 67 donor floor for my 65 dlx. Is the seat mounting
different or just the middle seat itself?

As I understand it, the 67 also has the big nut tranny (and i'm not even totally sure what this refers to yet) as well as a needle bearing front beam as opposed to bushings.

And yes, the bumpers are pointed instead of slash.

My 65 floor is so rusted out that I can't tell if the 67 is the same or not.
The donor 67 floor is very clean and rust free. What I can tell is the 67 has seat belt mounting bolts and the 65 does not. Are the seat mounting plates the same and in the same positions?
Anyone have a good picture of a 65 cargo floor?

Thanks.

VW was notorious for using up parts they had in stock, they probably used up all the switches that were on hand before they went to the column switch.

This is good Info. I am getting ready to have the floors on my 67 replaced, (they are all holed) and had no idea they were not the same as other years.

Are there any aftermarket floors available for the 67 ????

I did find a donor dash radio sections as mine is hacked.

Mowser Sun Apr 20, 2008 10:55 pm

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the only difference in the floor the high beam location holes? If so then it's just a couple extra holes that would need to be welded up. I believe my '67 still has the stamping but no holes.

I just found out I have a 66 dash in my 67 due to its early 8/1 build date. So much for the donor I purchased.
