I'm not sure if this is where I should post this but here goes.
Has anyone suggested a detailing/car care forum? Detailing cars is one of my hobbies and I have been detailing show cars for about 18 years. I think a forum like this would be a great addition to thesamba.com.
Occasionally, questions come up in the body/paint forum. I guess wax/cleaners,sealers and paint polishing, etc. could be considered paint related, but interior cleaning, engine detailing, wheel detail and polshing, under carriage detailing, tire and wheel care, brake drum/disk finishing, trim care, plastic and glass polishing, etc. don't really have an proper place of their own on thesamba.
I would think as people learn about their VW's and with the number of people painting, or getting their projects painted, there would be alot of interest in this kind of forum.
Detailing, IMHO can make the difference between a trophy and no trophy in a show environment. It is also a hobby that alot of people would like to get into but don't really know where to start.

I'm not sure there is enough content to warrant an entire Forum but if you want to start some threads on different topics with tutorials or your experience, we can make them into Stickies in the Body/Paint Forum.
"Sticky" posts appear at the top of the Forum thread listings. |
