View original topic: 2nd screw terminal on parking light is for...?

I'm sure this has been covered at some point but it is a hard one to search for... Anyway, during my headlight assembly resto, I noticed that there are two screw terminals for the parking light inside the headlight assy ('65). One terminal secures the hot wire from the headlight switch to run the parking light, but what is the other (empty) screw terminal right next to it for? Is there some optional accessory, or is it for an application for another country?

If you're headlight bucket is grounded correctly, 95% of the time you won't need to use that second terminal. The small screw that holds the bulb holder in place should act as the ground for the socket since the entire bucket is already grounded to the fender.
