can you use this in a 62? i really like that it already has the input for a stereo.

thats how mine is mounted right now. If not are there any for a 62 like that?

im not sure if that will work in an early car, i know ive seen them for the early 60's cars, just cant remember where.

Glovebox inserts are specific use for different years. 1953-57, 1958-64 & 1965-1967 and 1968-later. The gloveboxes got larger & larger over the years. If you want one for your 1962 Beetle, get the 1958-64 version.

there's probably no glovebox with the stereo insert area for pre 67 'cause most pre 67 bugs are only 6 volt and new stereos are 12 volt.

The only thing is you have to hack-up your wiring cover for the installation of the stereo. They also have one for under the dash.

Unless you just really want to have the plastic glove box, it wouldn't be that hard to make one yourself. You could use wood to make the form and then fiberglass over it and then sand and paint and install in your car and your done. You could make it as big or little as you want.
