Heres my newest project a 1960 beetle. Motors a 1776 with dual 44's, and the car is sitting on drop spindles with empi 5 spokes :D Up next for this car is a 5" narrowed beam, and some little things I have to sort out. Hopefully ill have everything sorted and done in allittle bit so I can start going to some shows and hanging out!!
Tell what you guys think?

Clean car. My only suggestions is a deluxe window rubber kit with the chrome moulding and possibly lower the tailights just a hair. They look mounted a bit high. After the beam you will drastically see a big difference. 8)

Car looks nice I like the color. The Cal look window seals don't look right on the car though.

You need to put the bumper braces in or weld those holes up and put euro blades on, and spray those windsheild wiper arms silver, IMHO I like colored fender beading over the black on blue cars, but definitely lower those tail lights and bring them in some too. Nice car!

I like it alot. Nice color, great features. Not crazy about the narrowed beam though. I think it makes VWs look goofy with it.

I've got a couple low mile 1960 bugs so if you need a car to reference let me know. There are a lot of one year only parts on a '60, more than most people realize.

Alright finally some updated pics.....Got the 6" beam all installed and working perfectly yesterday before the car show today, rides super nice despite not running shocks did have to do some custum fab work to get the beam to work perfect cause the dudes at KCW didnt weld on any steering stops or a damp., ect... but we got it worked out
Now if I could only get the rear lower.... :-( if anyone has a cheap way to safely lower it im all ears!!

1961 model year (august1,1966) was when factory changed to colored fender beading. prior to that they used black beading and running board covers. his is a 1960 so black beading is correct. |

Heres some pics from the show....I think I was the only bug there but people were still super stoked on it so I was happy. I though it was soo funny that people would walk past all these beautiful mustangs and bel-airs just to come check an old vw, it was a good feeling for sure :D
