I think they are made by Kelly Springfild and are sold at Sam's Club.

I don't see any that are suitable for a bus however. They are a car tire that really doesn't meet the load requirements or the right air pressure for a bus.
Keep looking. |

You need to go back and take the time to read the thread, or at least search through it.
It's in there, start at the beginning and you will find your answers pretty quickly. |

Actually, when there is no aspect number '82' is implied. In this case, 185/82/R14.
If the tire place you go to doesn't know this, keep looking. |

Incorect. Bus tires are 185R14 which would be about ~ 185/82/14 and are designed to bear the weight of a fully loaded bus and also the beating the sidewalls take in the wind and in turning.
Still good reading even though it was on page 1 here......

PO had installed Sears roadhandler 185R70 14's. Bus did not corner well, sat too low, and Speedo was off.
I just got four new Hankook 185R14's put on that are available through a tire chain here in southeast Texas called " Discount Tire". They were on the Hankook webpage.
Bus rides better, steers better, corners better, and looks like it should ( height wise). Engine rpm sounds lower at 55mph, which is where I like to drive.
So far so good. Thanks for all the information on this sticky. |

I got the Nexen CV820's from Tire-Easy.com - and it WAS Easy. Ordered on Sunday - the shipped on Tuesday - arrived Thursday. Mounted and Ballanced on Saturday.
WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Best money I have EVER spent on the bus. Acts like it has power steering - and man - does it corner well now!
Ptui! To Car Tires!
Load Rance D
Running 45 front - 50 rear. |

It's about time for me to switch out my tires. In fact, my front two are smaller to give my bus a rake look but I want to be all level. I was actually looking at purchasing these tires:

Can I put something on my '69 Transporter that exceeds 14"? |

Yes.........but my front ones are smaller than that.............
Plus, my question was if I could put on a tire that was bigger than 14" on my '69. |

Here is agreat site to compare various tire sizes......
If there is no "aspect ratio" as in a 185R14 or a 195R14 the aspect is assumed to be about 82% vs. 185/75/14

I'm between these two tires:
Cooper SRM II Radial LT
Hankook 185R14
I'm considering the Coopers because we have a Cooper tire in town and even though I'll put the tires on myself they do free tire inspections/repairs if you buy from them.
Would I be missing out on a lot if I did the Coopers over the Hankook's? |

Nothing wrong with Cooper Tires and they are pretty similar to the Hancooks. Having a local guy order them up is a good thing when you need service. Perhaps they will match or come close to the web price?
Go here and scroll down to look at the tread patterns......

Called around to local places and the prices came out to this:
Hankook (x4) = $536
Cooper SRM II (x4) = $476
I was very surprised that a local place would be selling them for that much. That is without tax, balancing and mounting.
I assume busdepot is the best place to order Hankook's? |

No, this is. http://www.onlinetires.com/default.aspx?PageData=tireDetails&tid=10510
$59.00/tire with reasonable shipping. I highly recommend them. |
