Let me tell you that "prodigy.net.mx" is a server based on Mexico....
You can get an e-mail "@prodigy.net.mx" only if you have a telephone number and an address in Mexico.
Prodigy is the Internet service from Telmex, the big telephone mexican company.
I heard about a shop "Ducky imports" in the west side of Mexico City, I will take a look.

Thought I would put my two cents in. I too lost money to this seller under the name of wolsburbest and they are correct the duckymex guy is the same. I bought from both and my paypal went to the same person so I know this to be true. I used paypal and did get a refund from paypal but could never get a reply from seller. Their paypal address is out of country and goes to a girls name. It is hard to tell how deep this rabbit hole goes but I would not buy fram these names here on Samba or Ebay, These guys are ruining the good carma of VW people with cheap knock of parts and internet scams. Beware
As for this not being a Samba problem i think it is if they are selling here. |

Like huisjen, I too have made purchases from both Duckymex and Wolfsburbest. The Paypal payments for both go to 'Ducky Imports'. Leonardo Huerta is his name. I believe him to use other aliases on ebay, but they pop up only occasionally. All his goods are new. The complaints against him made me nervous, but I went ahead and made several purchases from him.
I had a problem once with Duckymex, and received no replies to my emails until I sent one to Wolfsburbest telling him I knew he was Duckymex and to please take care of my problem. I was surprised, but I heard back from him immediately and he resolved the issue to my satisfaction. He said the Duckymex email was "messed up", whatever that means.
What I believe is that he is a man who sells large volumes of goods through various venues. I think the demands of email are overwhelming to him, and he tends to duck away from problems. I approached him with formal politeness, and simple language. I don't know if that was the difference, but I was pleased that he resolved our problem (I was issued a full refund on a $15 part).
If you buy from Duckymex or Wolfsburbest, use whatever buyer protection services are available through paypal so you have options for refunds. Your comments about him in ebay's feedback page are ignored by him, and ebay will take no action unless a direct report is submitted regarding your particular complaint. |

| When I bought my plex visors , he had one for sale at 25.00 , but more aval on the ad, so I bought it now and chose 2. ebay win was for 50.00 . when I emailed asking if he took paypal, he said no MONEY order, bank cashiers check only sent to his PO box. I didn't check feedback, should had.. have copy of the check on back maked for deposit only to Leonado Huerta and his account number. I sent several polite emails asking if there was a problem, and if he had a tracking number... nothing, nothing at all, even one asking iof he did not have any leave and asked for a refund, nothing , nothing at all, said I would report to ebay.. nothing.. |

| I've been wondering why Leonardo Huerta responded to my emails when he apparently ignores most of his customers. I've recently realized that he attends a VW swap meet in my town, so I'm guessing he didn't want me showing up at his booth with my complaint. I was probably way off base by saying my polite emails motivated him to respond. |

I wanted to say do not buy any rubber from this guy if you want it to last.
I bought a floor mat that was molded incorrectly from him. When I could not get a refund or a replacement from him I went to paypal and they gave me a refund. As for being over welmed with email I don't buy it because paypal tried to contact hime for 10 days or so and as soon as they decided in my behafe he was all over posting a appeal with them. Any way I loosely folded the mat in half and set it in the back of my Bus in the garage incase I needed pictures for ebay. 6 months or so have passed and I have heard no problem from ebay so I figure this is resolved and get ready to toss it out as it is of no use. The darn thing dried out and cracked in so many places it looked like it was 100 years old. Really cheap junk not worthy of a Yogo let alone a VW. |

Duckymex stiff me on a part thru Ebay. I registered a complaint, and Ebay made good on the deal. The saving grace was I used PAY PAL.
But after they paid me, the Ducky boy sent the part. It was a about a 3 week ordeal. He took a discount for the problem and I then paid him...real strange doing business in the sky. |

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/VW-KARMANN-GHIA-BUS...0845QQrdZ1
He is selling this unit as follows:
Quote: HERE IS THE ELECTRIC VDO GAS SENDING UNIT FOR BUS 55-67 AND KARMANN GHIA 56-62 AND 67-73. PLEASE COMPARE WITH YOURS OK? BRAND NEW IN BOX. PLEASE LOOK MY OTHER PARTS...
That is incorrect for the Ghias. The Ghia sending unit for hump style tanks is about 4" longer than the Bus unit. |

| Like kool 1, I won an ebay auction for one green plexi visor for $25.anted another one so I paid him (Leonardo Huerta) Duckymex, 58.50 for 2 visors and shipping. That was in feb. I have received nothing and no answer to Emails! Looked at his ebay feedbacdk, he did it to 8 others in April alone! I sent a complaint to ebay asking why somepone who continues to steal from ebay members time and time again....no reply as of yet! |

Have you filed a fraud report with E-Bay? The transaction at hand was not Samba related, so why are you posting problems about it here? You need to follow up with E-Bay's procedures. I never sell on E-Bay, but that's like going to an E-Bay forum asking about me because you've heard I sell parts. Apples and oranges, my friend.
This forum is primarily for Buyer/Seller feedback for Samba related transactions. I disagree, if someone can possibly warn ANYBODY of a poor seller, by all means let us know. |

I already spoke with Everett about this. He appreciates all feedback in this forum, although it's primarliy Samba related. A lot of people who post here don't bother to file fruad reports with E-Bay when they're already posting here.
Beside, if you scroll up a bit, I put a warning here about the same seller. ;) |

He was not banned from the site before but had not had any ads since 2005.
His ad feedback leads straight to this thread, which has a mixture of positive, neutral, and negative comments.
I have directed him to your complaint to see if he will resolve it before other action is taken. |

For eBay problems, it's better to go through eBay but warnings are ok as a lot of people sell on both.

exactly. samba buyers need to be warned about ebay seller trickery and scams.
perfect example: i recently saw some oversized pistons with no photo other than the box. now realize, that oversize pistons are little good from the get-go since boring barrels is not cheap, and requires that the machinist have the size specific stress plate, which none do... anyway, it was a weird size i had never seen before. so , being JUST curious, i emailed and asked: does it come with rings and pins? he says no , so WHAT THE HELL GOOD ARE THEY TO ANYONE??????? what bugged me is: he doesnt post the question on his listing... he doesnt want people to realize it doesnt have rings, hence the photo of the box, not the piston.
anyway, i didnt mention it here since no one was likely to buy it anyway, but the point is: ebay is full of this kind of trickery, and thank you Ev for letting it be revealed here. it shows concern for the VW hobby, not just the samba site.
