I'd say coachbuilt. I've seen pictures of others, but never one in the flesh. That would be a cool barn find. |

My 68 has the extra chrome on the front door panels, but not on the rear bulkhead panels or the rear side panels.

how wide is the drawer?
maybe it came from a sink cabinet & was cut to fit
would you guys consider a
nos thermostat "rarest of the rare"
or just hard to find? |

This is all i've found on it so far:
Clipper - Trim level/accessories package used for a short period of time on the Deluxe Kombi Bay Window Bus. Included large metal sunroof, front and rear bumper trim, rear window jail bars, and chrome trim on the interior, among other items. The Clipper name was discontinued due to copyright issues with Pan Am, who owned the Clipper term. |

:? :? :? How does it attach into the sunroof pocket? Any latching device to keep it from hitting the back of your head in a sudden stop?
I'm not saying you're full of shit, but it just doesn't look like it has the engineering or quality that Westfalia would let out of thier factory. |

Also, Wesfalia used gray handles on cabinets; at least up to 1973. |

As for being full of shit thats ok my wife thinks Iam also. Iam not sure if it is a factory option but its looks to be made by wesfalia. it has no runners or latching system but from all the ware it has been there for a very long time look for your self and as for westy quality that is questionable sometimes. the drawer is 40 inch long and 19.75 inch wide 2 inch high. the bottem is the same birch paneling as the roof panels I have the original purchase order for this westy and it isn't on the list of installed (at the dealer) items.
this is a drawer out of my 69 westy to see the staples thay are the same as the other drawer if this is a home made drawer someone went thought a lot of trouble to make a copie.

Very nice. I remember running across one of those at the locak Pick-N-Pull years ago. Yes, I did grab it, but I kick myself now for having sold it to a buddy. Ahhh... hindsite. |

| Dammit, I pulled one of those bench conversions from an early 68 Neptune Blue but I didn't see any of the lower cross bars. It came from a deluxe passenger bus so it has the black pad attached. I just ran across it yesterday, weird to see this thread today! |

| Come to think of it, I'm chasing a rarest of the rare bus...or so I think. Anybody ever heard of a double slider Clipper deluxe? It's not for sale...yet... I'll be ready when it is. |

Are you trying to sell it? Or trade for something? |

| Haven't posted it anywhere, never really gave it any thought. I'll dig mildly for the lower cross bars if they don't show up then I'll sell/trade just the upper piece. Just another cool weird bus piece I'll never use, haven't even thought about it in at least 2 years! |
