| It bed was always there in place. It had 2 small legs which it rested on the edge of the opening. When the pop top was up the front of the bed could lift with a prop rod. early westys they have a black push handle to raise the pop top which this 1 did not.No holes or anyhting where there was ever 1.I guess it is so it would not be in the way when your up there. |

| I sold that bus in 07 for $6000.I know I wish I still had it.I bought is for $1500.All i did to it was tune up,new canvas top, tires, brakes and a good buff job.I was just looking at the link and damn I am a dumb ass. There was a little pole that I had to hold my bed up and I remember the 2 metal catches on the bottom and I always wondered what they were for.Well now I know it was to hold it up in place. |

I think that it was a configuration that was not offered here but was a stock Westy form:
The other post talks about it but is mainly referring to the home made version of the bed. |

why do children always get the upper bunk ? lol
was that rated for an adult as well like the later bays?
for some reason thinking about it i think i have seen this before, it has little tube steel legs with plastic caps that sit on top roof right unlike the rivi beds and the later bays correct? |

Just because of this interior it would not be really worth that much more would it? |

The thread I posted covered conversions and OG beds, the Continental bed was an option from Westfalia in Europe on some pre 74 models. |

I'm getting a kph one and having it re-done to a mph one, along with a vdo tach that will be re-painted to look like what a factory tach might have looked like, should be sweet. |
