Any clubs or shops in lexington, or is our scene louisville based?

I'll be moving down to Lexington in Aug. But I won't have my Westy with me  I'm going to the Univ. Of Kentucky. But I sure would like to come and check out all your VW's!

Hate to bump an old thread, but it must be done.

I'm in Walton.

I'm going to UK so Lexington for the school year. London for summers.

I'd be really awesome to have some get togethers up here or just some contacts, I've got all kinds of questions.

I'm in Glasgow. Got a 55 oval rag with semaphores. A buddy of mine in Bowling Green has a 59 bug. Theres a few older vw's in our area, but mostly late 60's & fat chicks.

I have a sister that lives in Glasgow. On my way to visit her I drive by a house that has a few VW's in the driveway, it's about two miles from her. A few bugs and a bay window with flowers on it. Maybe you know them?

vweddie Wed Oct 08, 2008 6:04 am

Yup, I know them too. Really nice people. I live about 3-4 miles from them. They have around 4-5 vw's with the bay being the only running one.

TheShane Wed Oct 08, 2008 1:24 pm

Small world. I've always been tempted to stop and talk VW but I never have. I've got a '78 bay with a 60's hippie paint job so I always like to see more like mine on the road.

October 18, 2008 - Classic VW Club of Louisville Fall Show
Louisville, Kentucky
We had made plans to NOT have a fall show this year, but after having one for over 10 years now it's hard to break with tradition.

Saturday Oct 18th 9am to 2pm our club will be hosting our fall car show. Admission is 100% FREE, there will be door prizes and small awards given, in this area it’s the so long to our vw’s before people pack them away for the winter.

Bachman Volkswagen is our host and each year the are gracious enough to move their new cars out of the way so we can park our beauties in their parking spots. Come for the fun and music, swap spots are FREE too, food is available at the Dairy Queen just beside the show. It’s a really nice spot to park and talk. Come one come all !!!!!

As more details are made know we’ll post them on our club website at www.classicvwoflouisville.com or email Kim Kuser at kkuser4816@aol.com

I had thought about going to the one in L-ville, but there's a Goodguys Show at Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, Ky. only about 25 min. from me. I'll be there all weekend the 17-19th.
