Thanks man, unreal week. On the way to the bank to get the money for the '65 I blew the motor in my scab, I smiled, pulled over and had a cig. Zen

Cool video. Everyone that is into buses should have the experience of tracking down, extracting and making go again at least one bus in their lifetime.

The guy that owns this was e-mailing me about this wreck, now he said it is sold for $3000

There are suckers and liars born every minute. I tend to think some dolt bought this heap for $3k, and it will pop up with 90% of the metal replaced in a couple years for $120k.

More likely situation IMHO:
In 1-2 weeks with the roof pounded out with a sledge hammer, now rolling with 2 bolts holding the front beam and a rear end in it for $20K.

Or maybe it'll show up again in a few years as a grey and white 61 23 window with a birth certificate from the factory.

I finally got my single cab. 1958 (12/57 production). Lots of work ahead... pulled it out of milk parlor last Saturday. Sat for around 20 years I've pursued it for the last 15! I was shocked to finally have it offered to me-

Looking to make it a solid driver- Last pic is after a solid hour of pressure washing-

That one is a 59. Way too new  - The "fender flare is an aluminum flashing repair technique which is used throughout the truck.

Perfect add on for ripping your thigh wide open while walking around to the rear of the truck. I wonder how many people have been caught up on that flashing? Looks like there were other older cars in that barn?

Adam Kirian wrote: I just got back from my first bus hunting mission. Found 2 bay windows and one splittie. I will put up a picture tommorow of the bus. Its a early '67 SO42. Pretty complete and solid for a Ohio bus. The real bad part is the big tree branch laying on the roof. Has no roof rack. M-codes are as follows
425- Seats belts and mounting points
A42- SO-42 Westfalia interior, no exterior fitments
080- Split front seats (walk-through)
208- Trailer hitch and electrical hook-up
239- Unknown

Any idea's on what 239 could be? Also its pearl white in color, but it has some funky green and purpleish colored front seat. The wierd thing is, they look like a german type weave. I will post some pictures when I get to work.

Had to go all the way back to page 17 of this thread to find this post. Almost 10 years in the making, but the bus now resides with my buddy Greg and I. Pulled it out of its almost 30 year hibernation. Just happy to finally be able to add a bus to this thread. Anyone have a spare OG paint rear apron? That's about the main thing that's missing.
