Anyone know of some cool old school looking front tires out there? I am going to try to find a period similar pair of front rubber to match these rear meats for my street buggy... Either 14 or 15"
Any suggestions of where to start the hunt welcomed:
Thanx... |

I love the look of old bias ply's!!!! So muscle car era. I had trhem on my chevelle. Back then I searched probably 15 old Western Auto's until I found my dream set of "L- 60's and 215 75-15's. I thought i had found the holy grail!!!!!!! They didn't hook up at all, but would lay some mean black streaks!! The rear tires on my buggy are the closest I could find in a radial with a straight shoulder tread.
PS in case you are wondering, the Chevelle is gone now and the money was transformed into wood floors for my house. SHE had to have them!!!

Red cars are faster, just like red headed women. I love them both.

I have a set of old bias ply front runners, back when they used tread, street legal. Problem, they may be to tall for your buggy, IF I remember right, they are 25"or 26" tall. They have excellent tread, but they have been in my shop attic for a long time, not exposed to the sun, but to heat, I would have to check them out for weather cracking on the side walls. I have saved them simply because they were cool, and I wanted to use them some day. Let me know if you want me to check into them closer. Remember these are real skinny tires, about 4" wide.
I also have a set if rears similiar to the ones you pictured. |

| Thanx Viperbgy, but I want to keep the front tire height down a bit to keep the nose on the ground... Probably 22-24" high. |
