I am starting to get my baby together but i need some help. I am putting on my solid mount trans kit (which didnt come with any hardware or anything, not real happy about that) I am not too sure where exactly the two straps go. Does the one on the bell housing cover the seam of the engine and trans, it doesnt seem to fit over my starter housing very well. And is there any specific place ot mount the rear strap? or is it just were ever it fits best? thanks

what about your bell housing strap Murz. I am assuming that you had to drill the holes in your frame horns.

Jeremy, the front strap, I welded bolts to the frame horns, just because I thought it looked cleaner. The rear bellhousing strap bolts to the solid mount under the tranny. You can barely see it in this pic.

Here is a picture of mine. It is the "padded strap kit" which still uses the stock rubber mounts. My mid mount has a bolt on strap that goes over and under the frame horns and doesn't require any welding.
