I have to say - depending on where you live, a shiny new Mercedes a brand new Vette, a Ferrari or even a well restored bug don't get anywhere near the attention a buggy does.
Cindy just gets a HUGE kick out of all of the thumbs ups we get when driving around. Almost impossible to stop at a convenience store without getting attacked by the paparazzi LOL.
So - I have less than $10K in this thing, its a blast to drive and wrench on (most of the time), MAJOR attention getter, and it brings smiles to peoples faces. Is this a great hobby or what!!!
(Man, if was looking for women......whew!!!!) |

| My favorite thing is when kids spontaneously shout out Dune Buggy!!! like they got torretts syndrome or something . It never fails to put a massive smile on my face as well as the wife . |

When my wife & I started dating, I warned her that a dune buggy is not a good car to have if you're shy. It's near impossible to avoid talking to people when out and about in a buggy.
andk5591 is right, a glass buggy can grab more attention that a car that cost several times more. My wife's 1.8t Jetta is very clean and looks great, but it's like camoflage....nobody sees me in it. Can't hide when I'm in the Manx, however. :D |
