Anyone out there tried installing a wide 5 bug FRONT disc brake kit onto a 356? Same link pin set up, shouldn't it work? Am I the only one on the planet thinking of this?

| I have the CSP kit on the front of my '53. It literally took 3 hours to install. It works really great, but the only complaint I have is that it kicked each wheel out 1/2" and now I have problems with rubbing tires on a hard turn while going over a bump....but I think your '58 would have higher wheel arches, so I dont think that would be a problem for you. I cant say enoguh about how good they work though. When funding permits, I plan to put the rears on, provided they will fit. |

Go with the CSP. it's a little pricely but much better kit. I think they
now offer zero offset (meaning it doesn't widen the track) in drilled or solid rotors and the also have a vented rotor kit.
I have a solid rotor kit for sale new in the box. I am selling it because I
want the vented kit for my other car. I currently have a solid rotor kit on my 56 bug. I am located in northern ca |
