After fighting with one side of the buses jalousie window glass pane seals using windex as a lubricant I was dreading to do the other side window. So there I am sitting in my back yard soaking up some rays. I wanted to look pretty so I got some spray suntan lotion and applied it to my skin. I'm sitting there thinking I need to start putting the other side window together so I begin the process. As I'm sitting there with my hands all slippery I began to look at the ingredients in the sun tan lotion. First ingredient is mineral oil.
Well let me tell you I sprayed a little lotion on the grey seal and the window frames went together like butter. |

| I used no-stick butter spray for cooking. Went pretty well. |

| I would use silicone based oil, available at any parts supply house. Oil-based lubricants tend to cause rubber to swell, ESPECIALLY the grey rubber seals. |

| I am sure glad after wrestling with just 1 pane for over an hour (I still ended up taking it back apart after reading this) that I decided to do a search. I changed from wd-40 to silicone spray and life was much nicer. Those seals are tough work! vwdon |
