| A couple of months ago I bought a 59 bug from a lady, had to pump the tires and winch it on my rollback truck. Posted an article about it, told how the semaphores still worked, it ran etc. but needed floors and heater channels(got all the parts) Anyhow, yesterday on the way back from the local MVD ..had to register an MGC-GT I just restored...I saw an old pal I'd sold a totally restored 59 sliding rag bug..also with semaphores, and he asked if I 'd be willing to sell the Corvette I was driving. I said sure, and he made an offer of the bug and quite a bit of cash. He's coming to the shop saturday. The 59 is two tone turquiose and cream, 36hp 6 volt, wide whitewalls...not a mark. Has the roof rack and matching painted swamp cooler. It has been driven ....maybe...500 miles in the past four years.. I'll probaly put it on E-bay as my collection has to be thinned. |
