Finally got my project back on four wheels after 3 long months. Installed
2"narrowed beam, 2 1/2 dropped spindles and Ghia disks. Right now have
135's on front but will go to bigger and wider for better handling. Engine is 1641 DP pretty much stock for now. Note the all-German fleet.

Funny, i was thinking the same thing! It's missing the engine lid stand offs, California "blue" plates, and a tach on the dash! I had the same rims back in the early 80's but they were the as Napolean would say " the sweet gold ones.....gosh!"

Actually, standoffs are going on soon. This was an older custom job that was in a garage for the past 15 years. I'm slowly working on the mechanicals to make it a daily driver. THis car has the original pans with almost no surface rust on them.

I like it. It has a nostalgic look/feel to it. In S. California in the late 70's early 80's many bugs looked like yours. Classic early "California style" look.
