Actually that’s what the guy was going to do. He has a subie motor for it but I don’t think I am ready for that.

Have yet to take my own pics of my 1991 Westy...took her to Lost Lake Oregon two weekends ago but forgot the camera... :(

just got 4 new KYB's, 4 new Hankook tires and :wink: :wink: REPLACED ALL FUEL LINES, :wink: filler neck, breather tubes etc.....It is so nice to be able to fill up the tank for $53.00 and not get high off the fumes for three days :D

Been lurkin on this great site for over a year now. I love the Vanagon's or I wouldn't be here. Especially the Syncro Westys. However, I sorta went my own way.

just notice something and i wonder.. is mine an oddball? i see alot of fiberglass bumpers with square headlights and chrome bumpers with round headlights.. am i the only one with the fiberglass bumpers and ROUND headlights!?!?!?!?! ... wich i must add.. I LIKE THE LOOK[/img]

Hi Folks, Here's my new purchase. It's a '84 Westy with a '93 2.2 Subaru. The previous owner installed the Subaru engine. It needs a lot of work. This pic was taken on the way home the night I bought it. Of course I stopped at the gas station and filled it up. I just finished fixing the gas tank!! Boy did it stink up the garage. Shoot, I guess I missed this thread when I got my van .. I still have not driven it [except pulled down the highway behind a toyota]

1980, does not run for unknown reason. Hopefully will get it on the road some day .. walking everywhere sucks in the winter.
It has been in my city all its life and some previous owner took good care, the interior is amazing :)

Here is a picture of Heidi. She has a new Tiico transplant, better rims and rubber. I've added new bumpers, a 3 window top, lift springs and shocks. This week a new heater core. I'm thinking of changing her name to Ivana. Ivana new zees, Ivana new zat.
