Can anyone tell me why I can't post this pic? Here is the link that I've used.
http://forus.com/moonunit/camping%26sailing03/Let'sGo_600.jpg
Well, I now see at least part of the problem. The link is not fully underlined! Why? If you copy the link and paste it to your browser, it works! I don't get it. Why does it not copy here in full as I paste it? Please help. I'd like to get some pics up on here. |

not an HTML guy, but it maybe the apostrphe ( ' )
Check the path and file name are correct?
Go to where the photo is on the web, open it up and right-click on it.
The sub-menu opens and select Properties.
Then Triple-click on the Address showing where the photo resides.
This should select the entire path.
Again, right-click on the path and select Copy.
Now, in the Samba post, select the Img button above the text box.
Then Ctrl+V will paste the path you previously copied.
The click on the Img button again (to close)
It should do it.

Thanks very much aviatorjames! Got me on the first sentence  I know there is some wierd HTML stuff, and it doesn't seem to be the same across the board, but I didn't know that one. I knew the link was right cause I host on a private server and had to figure out how to make it all work. Anyway, I've asked the question several times to no avail, but this is the first time I posted the link and noticed it didn't fully copy. I gotta be more careful how I name my files!
Anyway this girl is kinda retired, wasn't as dependable as I'd like so she's retired until I can restore her I think. I've had many years and miles of pleasure from her.
Now I'll upload some pics of my new to me camper and you can all have fun trying to ID what she is, but I got a pretty darn good deal I think. It's tough out here on dial-up

Ok Here's my 1980. I've had it for about two months. Paid $1500! Put new front wheel bearings, some pushrod tube seals (first help here, no leaks now) pass side only, and an Optima battery for my cabin (which unlike everyone elses in the Westy's mine is back in the engine compartment like my BayWindows). I immediately voided the warranty on by grinding down the posts to get it to fit.
I've driven her about 2,000 mi without problems This pic is from a short overnight maiden run. That 110 Suzuki fit perfectly in the dining room :D My kid was luvin' life as was I. Thanks for the help and for looking. I was told it was built in the Portland area. Can anyone ID it :?:

Well, here's my first venture into the Westy World. I've owned it for a whole day. Love it. Its an '85 Wolfsburg with a Tiico conversion. Not a speck of rust anywhere (thanks to the good old dry side of Oregon). Purrs nicely. Looking forward to some road/camping trips (but not today as its 103 freak'n degrees right now and the Westy has no AC).

Here's a pic of my '87 GL:
This was taken just up from the flume (water chute) at Bowman Lake in the Tahoe area.
This has been a great vanagon. I have owned this one about a year and half.
Previously, I owned an '85 GL that became a victim of a hit and run. Good news is that the good guys (CHP) caught the bad guy (driving on a suspended DUI). Two witnesses not only called in a report but they also picked the bad guy out of a photo line up! Great news is that the bad guy's mommy had insurance! PTL! |

Here's my '83.5 Westy. Pretty stock except for 2.2L GoWesty motor and 15" wheels.
All loaded up w/ boats and extra gear on top. It's tough to lift with the boats up there. Takes both me and my wife, but it's do-able.

Picked up my 1st vanagon last week. It needs a little TLC here & there and has a crap-tastic paint job on it from the PO...but it runs good and is pretty solid in general.
