View original topic: Bumper mounting bolt size

I got my bus painted last summer and decided to leave my new bumper off over the winter. But i seemed to have lost the bolts. Does anyone know the size? I also would like to know the size of the bolt that holds the wipermotor assembly to the frame. By the way. this a 73 standard bus...

Thanks in advance

I just went to my local hardware store and got some stainless steel carriage bolts that a 1/2" wrench fit on the nuts. They were about an inch long.

LOVE bringing back ancient threads....

anyone know from the top of their heads what tap sizes i need to re-thread the front bumper bolts for my 72 (early style) bumper?

looking to do both the frontmost brackets into the frame and the side supports under the side step. -please and thanks....

if you would have seen what i did the first time  ...I ran standard bolts in there because i was too ignorant to get the right stuff! besides, back then there wasnt the internet and all this great info in one place. broke off both the side step bolts in there, gotta drill those out....

Thanks, I searched my best but didnt find this info here...

Do you have the correct replacement hardware?

Bus boys sells the hardware kit. See the link above. They will be able to tell you the pitch.
