I am looking at a 81 Jetta & was wondering if my 99 Wolfsburg wheels will fit it? Also will the newer 2000 - up wheels fit my 99? Thanks

I dunno, and can't remember. I do know that several old VW's were 4x100 (standard Honda pattern), and I thought the new ones were 5 lug right?

Guess you are right on the newer ones, but still wonder if old style 99 jetta wheels will fit this 81 jetta? Could always get aftermarkets for my 99.

Is your 99 a Vr6 or four cylinder? If I'm not mistaken, (And I may be) the four cylinders still had four lug wheels in 99. If so, then the bolt pattern would be the same, but I dunno about the offset.

If the '99 is a 2.0 or TDI Mk3, the wheels are 4x100mm pattern and they will indeed fit the 1st-generation Jetta.

If the '99 is a VR6 Mk3 or any form of Mk4, the wheels would be 5x100mm bolt pattern, and they will not work on the early car. All of the 4th-gen Golfs and Jettas went to the 5-lug wheels.
