| Just got an 1982 911 S\C with a flat Six. Won't idle at stop lights and wanders upon start up. Anyone know of common problems? |

| Sounds like you have an air leak on the intake runners somewhere. |

1. spray carb cleaner to see if there is a leak
2. your idle should be set at about 950
3. incorrectly set mixture screw will cause the idle to oscillate. You will need a exhaust analyzer to check. you can turn it with a long hex key. clockwise to enrich, counter to lean. its between the fuel dist and the sensor plate.
4. go to www.pelicanparts.com look under tech. The best place for all questions on 911s. Do a search or ask. You will get the info you need there. |

| I was thinking air leaks in the intake plenum itself but vacuum leaks could cause all kinds of weird things to happen too. |
