...can it be done with the engine in the car or does the engine have to come out?
any known problem areas or certain things i should be aware of? i've never done it but i'm pretty confident in my work. i'm just looking for a heads up to any troubled areas.

| If it's anything like a bug, or hell any other aircooled engine that I know of, the engine does need to be pulled to access one set of head bolts. |

| It can be done but it is not that easy. The 912 engine bay has a bit more room than a bug and better access from the top which makes it do-able. Nid's right though - I would drop it to make it easier on you. |
