Just before I picked it up:

After the first week:

I've since cleaned extensively, located and installed the middle seat, and repaired both rear corners. The bumpers should be here any day.

With the exception of the engine and the seat covers, this bus is 100% OG.

Wow, Nice score. Keep the pics comming. I'm going to call Miss Cleo to see if Lowering is in your future unless you already know?

There's a part of me that wants to keep it bone stock, but I also REALLY like the look of a stock bus, slightly lowered, with a nice set of 5 spoke chrome empi rims.

It's amazing what one can find under seat covers. I don't know why they covered this up, but I'm damn glad they did.

Man that cleaned up good. What did you use on it?

zozo Tue Jun 13, 2006 11:56 am

I didn't clean it at all. I took off the seat cover and took the picture. I was stunned!

i got a chubby! that looks great...

I washed it and scrubbed it really hard, then I wet sanded it with 2000 grit, then I compounded it with a random orbital buffer, then I waxed it with mothers carnuba paste wax using the same buffer. It's considerably better than it was, but it still lacks the real shine that I'm looking for.
