What are the symptoms of a bad brake booster?
I have an 88 fox gl. I just got it. When the car is off the pedal seems to have pressure and doesn't go all the way to the floor. When the key is in and the car running the pedal varies from being a couple inches from the floor to all the way down when the brake is being applied. I don't have any obviously vissible leaks and the master cylinder seems full. When I pump the breaks it doesn't seem any better. |

it sounds like your master cylinder is passing, the brake boaster might be giving you the extra pressure that you need to force fluid past the cylinder, that is why is only does it when the car is running
Make sure you get a new one, my experience is that rebuilt master cylinders don't last |
