| difficulty gettin it into first right after start up. it gets better after that. downshifting its okay til i gotta shift down to second and first, i gotta be going pretty slow to shift to these shorter gears. third fourth and fifth seem to shift fine. the ride is a 77 911S any ideas? cause i dont. thanks. |

a 915 trans is pretty solid. Before you go the rebuild route, make sure all of your bushing are in good shape. Unscrew the cover in front of the rear seats. Take off your shifter to see if your bushing at the bottom is worn.

Dont forget there is another bushing inside the tunnel. It supports the shift rod. Its in the front. |
