Somebody on the east coast needs to buy this bus, strip it back to the original paint/logos, but otherwise leave it as a Jersey looker and get it driving so they can park it next to Nick's bus at shows. |

I've been jonesing for one for some time now to install on the Plump Truck!?! :P
May end up having one made, only if I can find a damn place that makes them. Last time I check at a Custom Truck shop, if it wasn't listed in their catalog, they could not order it. |

i think it suggests it might be. but all those options are missing so the fact that more evidence says "jersey looker" than jewel tea", i think it is clear we have another jersey looker that's come out of the woodwork. i'm stoked. |

| So, it's a $15k maybe: $7500 for the bus, $7500 to buy back the shit that was stripped off. |

By using the same formula that arrived at the asking price with all that stuff missing. |

ahh, i see.
7500 may be steep, but other swivel panels have sold recently for near that, and above. |

Wow, I saw the photos and thought, gee, its neat to have a shot of the bus in early operation. Then I read further, and see that they had at least 97 BUSES in use.
Its highly unlikely that this bus is the one in the photos.
This is a sobering thought. One out of 97 buses is known to have survived.
Tough odds, there.
there was another swivelseat panel with that funky window that has been for sale a few times over the last few years. I saw it two years ago at the show in milan, mi. I don't know that it is from that same lot of buses. also, we don't know that the entire fleet was swivel seats, and they might not have had exactly 97, the number could be more or less. (I don't believe everything I read in sales literature...)
This was my bus!! This thread was really interesting to read through, I had a swivel seat panel when I was in high school and never quite figured out what the hell the sliding back window was for. It looks exactly like the bus in this thread. Wish I'd kept it...

All of the talk above & yet the seat never left the Bus. Well the swivel part anyways. It has even been in the add pics. The emblem did not come with it, but an OG emblem is easy to find. Safari's also did not come with it but OG safari's are certainly not too hard to come by. As for the rear window, it went to Aaron for a very worthy camper project before I had any idea that it would have been a original item on the Bus.
Either way the Bus has finally sold to a very worthy person who will give it a new life & have a lot of fun with her. It is even going to stay a Jersey Looker.

The South Philly Van Club approves.
I would roll the fuck out of that bus.
Is the rear slider window back in?
Couldn't tell from the pix. |
