I got the run around by this guy. Gave bad information on the 1959 double door panel and tried to change the deal after I sent a $500.00 depost. Luckily he sent back $400.00 but I am still waiting for the last $100.00. He has changed his name a few times on here some of the previous names (some borrowed from previous post). He has no listings now so he might have another name.

| I noticed this thread because I searched under "Portland" and found this thread. I am in NO WAY directly (or indirectly as far as I know) related to this guy. My name is Bobby Riggs, son of Jim Riggs. We are both straight up honest people and you can call/mail me at anytime if Anyone has any problems with me or my dad. What a strange, weird, coincidence and I hate the idea of somone ruining the Riggs name. :oops: :x If anyone thinks that I am related to this Joe guy, I'm sorry and please don't group me in the same catagory as people like him. |

I finally got restitution for 5 sets of tail lights that I agreed to purchase from this guy on 5/25. He sent me a Bank Check for $160 only after months of email strings and a threat to submit all of our email traffic to an attorney for criminal filings! Check arrived within a week!
I now have his address as stated on the envelope the check was in...if The Samba wants it I will give it to Everett Barns....otherwise I am keeping it for future referance. |

| Jamie is looking to get reinstated with PAYPAL and is looking to me for help. After almost being a victim myself and seeing how deceitful he can be I am almost temped to ignore his plees for help. Let's see....it took almost 5 months for him to make good on the $160 he owed me, perhaps I should wait as long to reply to him. He has supplied me with an address in which I am supposed to send a letter of restitution.....what should I do? You guys may be victimized if I do, so I am trying to look out for all Samba / Ebay members who may be scammed if he becomes active with PAYPAL once again! Thoughts....discussions....? I would either respond with a No or not respond at all.
BTW, he has been banned a few more times since what I posted above. He was selling a VW that he did not own. This is within the past month. |

| Everett...you are doing a superb job at keeping this guy from selling here on The Samba but is there any legal action pending against this guy? He has intentionally and meliciously tried to steal from us on more than one occasion.....this is Internet Fraud! The Oregon authorities should be able to slap him with fines and possible jail terms for some of the things he has tried to get away with. What can we as a group do? You have my signature in support! |

I don't know of any legal action.
Someone else in Oregon has been helping me by reporting any new ids he creates in order to post the same stuff again.

I'm having problems with him on a bekowa roof rack I bought and paid for with paypal on June 26th. I keep getting the run around or very slow responses.
I would be happy with a refund right now. |

i've has severals talks with him about his 58 dd. very slow to get me pics and never returns phone calls until this past wed. when he said if i bought the 58 by friday it would be $8500. i said let me see some pics of work completed and never heard from him...now the bus is $9500 reduced from the $15000 it went up to. sketchy to say the least...glad this new feedback appeared so now i can walk from dealing with jc or buzzgeek.

| I purchased a car from this guy under the name buzzgeek. The only reason I know his real name was it popped up when I sent a deposit to him via paypal. the 56 I bought from him was described fairly well but he was a little flakey with the shipping and getting me the title of the car. This really is not my issue with him though. After purchasing the car from him he sent me a message stating that he came across a OG windshield for my car that would match all of the other glass. Granted my car had a windshield already I said it would be nice to have all OG glass. I sent him the money for the glass pluss the shipping for a total of $165.00. At first he said he was out of town for a few day and would ship it the following week but that did not happen. Each week was another story until the last time he told me it was packaged and ready to ship the following Monday. So I waited until Friday and nothing showed up so I sent him a text. That was a little over a week ago and he still has not responded to any of my messages or calls. I have submitted a dispute through paypal to get my money back but just wanted to let you know this guy is still pulling his old tricks. Once I got his real name and not JC that he calls himself I searched here and saw bad feedback from the past but it was too late for me at that point in the transaction. | Well I never did hear back from JC/Joe Riggs about my windshield or my money. I filed a dispute and had to wait three weeks for a response from him which never happened either. Luckily I used PayPal and was able to get my money back after the three week wait. He was halfway decent when I bought my Oval from him and it's a shame that it had to come to this over $165.00. You would think that someone like him with all of the money in busses he has for sell would want to keep in good standing here on the Samba but I guess he doesn't care. I just hope that others see this and do not have to deal with issues that I did. I personally feel that his adds should be removed and he should be banned again from the site sense he is still up to the same tricks that got him banned years prior. |
