Fasty's pot-out is, I may say, the best looking pot-out on air-cooled vee-dubs considering that it looks sporty without the moldings and rubbers attached to the glass.

Just a though.

in the 9 years I have worked here, I can count on one hand how many times I have called in sick, and in that same count, I can't recall any day you came in to my shop and bought anything from US ( that I or ALEX can recall )

if we make it, with our name on it, its going to be good... these are made from EPDM compound, newer and modern rubber technology

pricing is $150 a pair, sold in pairs only...

people will need an existing set of pop outs for the internal metal frame, 4 large clips, glass and trim, we will be offering new trim also at $25 per window

for those that want a cal look version, paint or powder coat your trim black, or leave it off altogether, your choice...

Sounds like a deal, I'm in for two.

Should we be checking your website to place orders? They still show as unavailable for now.

DUDE, did you win the lottery or something?
$150 sounds like a deal for a whole Fastback, not for enough rubber to go around two windows.

Nothing personal, Anthony, I know you're just trying to make a living off of us cheap bastards.

Yes Les, I knew you would be down for some

This is why I poke at costs. $150 is alot lower than I thought they would actualy charge. If you were to restore a early notch and I had real German rubber front and rear for you, you would be parting with $500 bones.

$150 is a great price IMHO! Thanks for getting it done guys, one less thing for fasy owners to bitch about- except for SquareTone

As soon as they are available, I'll be down for set as well. And most likely a set of chrome trim too.

Alex and Anthony are good people. I've purchased from them in the past and they recently tracked down some intake manifold gaskets for my FI, everytime a pleasure.

So, with that ringing endorsement, how about a discount?

SquareTone Fri Mar 28, 2008 12:01 pm

Actually, I'm really excited that somebody finally did this even though the odds of my buying a pair are closely tied to the odds of my winning the lottery.

If I ever paint this car (see lottery referrence above) I'm sure I'll be buying a full set of rubbers from ISPWEST.

(Somebody suggested the other day that my lottery odds would be much higher if I were to buy a ticket. I'll have to give that some thought.)

sharkskinman Fri Mar 28, 2008 3:04 pm

Just tell us when we can give up deposits
ar when we can buy
AND how many are available

KTPhil Fri Mar 28, 2008 3:23 pm

Yes, $150 is a lot of money. But if you live in SoCal where the summers are hot, these really make a difference, especially with the black vinyl seats! We (occasionally anyway) get rain, and the damage from leaky old seals is far more than $150!

Used sets sometimes go for nearly this on ebay/Samba, and NOS is unheard of. I am not exactly ecstatic to pay so much, but when you look at alternatives, and the really tiny customer base, and all the cost in developing the parts and molds, I can't see it being done for less.
