I found this one a couple miles from my house. Does anyone have any
Ideas? It looks about 90% like a Kellison, but there are some small
differences. The rear fenders are different, and the sides on this one
hang down a lot further. Did anyone make a clone of the Kellison?

I've already tried DBA. The closest I can come is a Kellison. I own
a Kellison, so I know that its not one of those. Like I sais, its about
90% the same, but there are some differences. Thats why I was
thinking that it might be a clone of some kind.

I'll try to include a few pics. Mine is a clone of that one, except it's purple and my dash was cut. Mine is on a '66 pan. I was told by the PO that he thinks it's a Kellison, too, but he's not sure.

The nose is kind of flimsy, there's no underside support forward of the headlights. I'm going to make a bracket out of angle iron to mount behind the license plate area, and tie it in to the front bumper mounts. I have all sorts of holes in the glass to fix, but otherwise it's an incredibly solid and thick body.

The more I compare the pictures, the more slight differences I see. I thought my sides mught have been trimmed up, but the rear fender area is different, too. Hmm...

Yours is deffinately a real Kellison. It looks hust like mine.
You should go to the dune buggy archives and get registered.
There are only two kellisons registered. One is mine and the
other is Richards. There is a picture of Richards, I don't have
pics of mine yet.

That thing is pretty sharp! I like the pick-up look.

I really have a thing for the truck look too. I fell for the
Kellison the first time I saw it, so I bought it. The one in
the picture is a clone as far as I can tell. The crazy thing
is that the guy who has it actually thinks that he's going
to sell it for $1500. It's in really poor shape. Not worth
near that much.

Thats the problem with niche market vehicles like dune buggies...some people think they are worth their weight in gold...its frustrating at times.
