90 federal Passat 5 speed 2.L. When sitting for a while, when you go to leave in the car, the engine cuts out like someone turned the key off at 2200 or so RPM's several times. Idles correctly. Run the engine back up to 2000 to 2200 and again it acts like someone is turning the key off.
Hold the gas to the floor and it goes to 2200 or so and turns on and off on and off. Let it warm up a bit it runs great.
Throttle body micro swtich? Something is telling the ECM to back the gas off quickly....when not warm or luke warm
Gotta be a swtich or sensor somewhere.....ease the gas up and it runs thru 2500 and beyond but push it like you would if you pulled out onto a surface street it cuts out.... but idles nicely |
