Sell it and buy a chevy?:)

Naw seriously , you are basically looking at the same type of modification you would do to a bug motor... i.e. increased displacement via larger pistons and cylinders, bumped up compression, larger valves, bigger dual carbs... etc etc. its all a matter of how much you want to spend.

Now with that said, if we are talking a bone stock original porche motor, I would leave it as-is, and build a nice meaty bug motor to put in it.
It's a bolt in swap, and that way you aren't screwing up the resale value on the car (originality counts BIGTIME on these babies).. plus if it blows up you can put the stocker back in it...

What model? Berardelli Racing has a cam grind that is wonderful but needs a 356C or 912 cam to start with. That plus a big bore kit and some rejetting the carbs will amaze you.

Or, like the fonz said, shoehorn something else in there like a later 912 engine. I have a couple spare 616 longblocks 8 )
