I am extremely new to 914's.

I went to see this car in person, and there were some irregularities. The CO said the PO removed some sort of part that covered the trunk release panel.
I thought that 76's had the "tailight" plastic porsche logo on it. this one had previous evidence of a 914 2.0 badge on it, and marks where the PO had welded patches over the whole in the panel.
So does this sound plausible or not?
Also, on the trunk lid there were 4 1/4 holes that were showing through the paint. It looked like there had been a rear spoiler at on point, but didn't know if this was a factory option or aftermarket?
Just trying to educate myself. |

Some owners had the PORSCHE reflector added by the dealer with the remote trunk release. Looks like it on this car but it was not a Factory option. The Factory 2.0l emblem was a stick on decal of 914 2.0.
Anything on the rear trunk was aftermarket....
Pics show a nice fairly clean 76 without to much rust. Some rust is under the battery tray but no pics of under the rockers to show the longs where these cars rust. |
