Bought this dealership manual at Techno Classica Essen.
It's from 1955 (with supplements untill 1959) and helps the dealer decorating his showroom. It is almost complete and contains 13 pics/drawings and instructions for how to make them. Featuring the Binz DC, KG lowlight convertible, late oval, 23 window etc. Really cool. Have not seen one before.

My wife found this while searching the webarchive and I thought I'd share it. It is the War Dept Technical Manual for the "German Volkswagen" (like there are any others?) published in 1944.

Sorry about that Everett! I looked for it, but didn't think about it as an owners manual

I recently acquired this VW Weathervane Reprints for the Service Department Binder 1961 - 1963 and has Weathervane Issues from 1964 - 1968. I haven't found much information here on theSamba or anywhere else on the internet. Very cool VW information, great addition to my crazy VW Literature Collection. Does anyone else collect these and whats the rarity?

Here is another find that I have not seen much information about, this 1964 VW Workshop Bulletins. Covers VW Type 1, 2 & 3
No original binder.
Lots of Great technical information and updates.

I have never seen that binder - that is awesome.

I have a bunch of those but they seem to come up less frequently lately.
I do see them on eBay from time to time but always for dumb money, like $15 each and they never sell.

I believe most of mine were bought in lots for $1 or less each.
I don't know the value though.

They have a lot of cool information and photos.
A lot of the "VW Facts" on the home page of this site came from those pamphlets.

I have some of these as well and I know there are a few people on the site that have piles of them.

Some interesting stuff but I would say the value is quite low.

Here is a banner ad I picked up locally today. It measures 14"x 42" and has never been displayed. The story behind it is that the guy I bought it from his uncle had a Chrysler dealer in a small Saskatchewan town but he was also a VW dealer/distributor. When they cleaned out the shop this was mixed in with all the vintage Chrysler stuff. Has anyone seen one of these before??

I found these at a downtown bookstore yesterday. Both were published in 1967 and have what look to be the exact same pages and short stories. The only difference is the first page. I'm just going to refer to them as white and blue, the color differences are probably due to age and fading.

The blue one has a stamp on the first page with the name and address of a VW dealership in Omaha that is probably now defunct, it's also present on the second page. Other than that stamp, the first page is blank and does not say "Compliments of Your Volkswagen Dealer" like the other one does.

The white one has "Compliments of Your Volkswagen Dealer" on the first page. It looks like the others in the classifieds.

I'll add them to my other books from 1967 that are about how to sell each style of VW, and "Telephone Techniques" that I posted a few photos of a couple years back.

I picked this up in 2001 at a swap meet in Ohio and measures 30"x40". I've never really been able to find any information regarding large scale dealer ads other than that they are hard to get a hold of. Its in good condition minus the two bottom corners that are tattered from being tacked to numerous walls over the years.

I just bought this last night...

Is Your Volkswagen A Sex Symbol?

It was cheap and I thought it was pretty funny. Maybe I'll learn something about my inner psychie too. Whoooaaaaa...

Picked up these at a used bookstore last weekend.
This one looks like it should have some interesting tales:

This one the bookstore owner dug around to find after I bought the beetle book and is just like the white version Blue71 posted.

The cartoons reminded me of this book in my collection which was written by Virgil Partch who contributed to the book above. I have two copies, one found in a parts bus and the other in a collection of stuff at a show. I know very little about this one as no date or information is printed in it. Anyone know anything about it?
