Hey guys...figured I'd start here.
I'm not so new to the Porsche world, I've owned (restored) a couple:
1960 S-90 coupe, 1968 912, 1970 914, 1977' 911...anyways..I've been out of touch with the market a little the last couple years finishing school.
A friend of mine asked me to help him sell his 56' sunroof coupe.
It's a turn-key very very original period correct car. I believe the engine is original to the car also. Had a respray to red 30 years ago, otherwise very original. No body damage, I think the battery tray was patched incorrectly decades ago..but over all damn nice.
Have a look...what $# do I give him to start at? My guess is high $20k..but?
cheers,
Bob O
p.s. Car is located in central washington.

Oooh, real looker. I don't know 356 values real well but that at $25K would be a deal from what I have seen sell lately...

Early 356 coupes in good, original and unrestored condition can go for more than $20K - especially a factory sunroof model. You should verify that the numbers are, as you suspect, matching. (I'm sure you know how to go about doing that since you've restored/owned other vintage Porsches.) And, you might want to have a look at these links to give you an idea of the current market values for various 356's.

I hope you find a good home for this 356.
