That was my thought, unless I had just discovered an new line of VWs...the rare and ellusive Bug Bus designed by Ghia...?... It fits a 1500 manifold...anyone else ever seen one??? There is NOTHING in the Gallery or the forum (or any hits on the web that I found...) It think I am going to rty and fit it on my 55 vert rat ride in the making's 36er, but I will need a slightly larger flange (30-1 to DP manifold redrilled might work..?) Any ideas out there... Also there is a really deep accelerator pump diaphram (the housing is about 4to5 times as deep as usual and has six screws instead of the ususal 4, looks to have a huge spacer, but I have not opened her up yet, did not want to glass bead it if it was a "rare part" I could always knuck under and buy 30#s of walnut shells...

| The set of Okrasa 32 PB1s I've got have the same "6 screws " set up. The rebuild kit for those in 32 and 40s all had "B" letters . Bet you want the name of the person that has the parts ? (I don't have the name or number either) I'll see if I can track him down. Lloyd |

| OK I tracked down the guy who gave away the the carb in question , and looked at the case that had that carb on it, it was on a F series case. More of the story : It was under the bushes at his older friends house who has been into VWs a long time but is getting older and is throwning things away. Needless to say I gave him my name/number for more information and that I'd like to go visit and talk to him :) and call me before he gets rid of anything else... OH IF you end up using/selling the carb the "young man" who gave it away could use help to get his Beetle running again. His engine dropped a valve on #3 cylinder,He is looking for used parts to get it going. Walleys engine shop says the head is rebuildable, he is looking for a used piston & cylinder for his "2000" engine. Lloyd |

I just removed one of these from a 36hp engine. It doesn't fit the 36hp manifold though so the installer widened the mounting holes so it would fit. (Weird) Engine ran fine with it, better after I adjusted it correctly.
Part # on mine is 126129021K.
From reading I think it's originally for a 1500 or 1600 industrial engine?

SOLEX 32 PCI for sale?
My 1959 Lloyd Alexander has an old carb - full of holes, needs to be replaced.
Are any other SOLEX 32-series carbs interchangeable with mine? |

I have a pair of Solex 32PCIs that I bought with a pile of old parts. They are attached to dual-port manifolds marked "Riechert Essen". I was hoping someone here could tell me what car the carbs originally came from.
I had been told that industrial engine carbs can't be made to run on a car engine??? |

| I ran a Mobile Dimension Sawmill for years. It was powered by a modified VW engine, and came originally with a 32 pci. These mills are still being made, so these carbs can probably be bought new somewhere. |

I checked and the carbs I referred to above are also 34PCIs. And I found this thread in the Vintage Speed forum on exactly the same carbs and manifolds as I have:
