All I'm waiting on is a set of 5.60 tires and some black powder coated stock wheels. I'll see how that looks. I might get a wild hair and put some earlies on it :twisted: |

That car is bad ass. Not big on the skirts, but other then that I like it as is! |

Mines got some og paint under the crappy respray, yeah i know i need to ditch the HR stencil. I am going to when i get it back to O.G paint.

my rusty diamond / 57 diamondgreen oval bug... orignal paint, beside the rear hood and som spots on repairs...
very bad foul that i sold that solid straight car :(

Such cool cars on here.......Im slowly managing to get the nasty cheap resprayed blue off of my 1958 to reveal what i think is reseda/mignonette green og colour!
a previous owner seemed to have had a few dings and had managed to go through the paint to the primer when sanding back to paint it blue! When they had painted it blue they didnt bother with under the bonnet, under the engine lid or inside which is now all sunburnt and looks great!

Hi from another Australian immigrant VW owner in Hampshire :D
I've already posted it in here, but I've recently discovered what VW Australia called the colour. Boronia Brown! (Used 57 - 59)
(I've finally colour matched the repairs to the cargo doors, rocker and nose. I still need to take the shine of the nose but I'm happy with the colour.) |
