Just wonder if there's people like me!

When you ride in your bus (west) do you have a song that you HAVE to listen? A classic(or not) that match your bus and you!

Hope a lot will anwser, give eachother some idea.

For myself, I can put on «replay» almost 10time...
Manfred Mann - Blinded by the light
Bob Dylan - I want you

Depends on the route, the destination and the passengers (or solo).
Certain moods. Certain songs. Certain CDs.

Any further details and I would give away my age ....

Any classic rock from the 60's and 70's bascially.
Don McClean- American Pie
Billy Joel- Piano Man
Bob Dylan- Knockin' On Heaven's Door
Crosby Stills Nash and Young- Suite: Judy Blue Eyes
Peter Gabriel- Solsbury Hill
Steppenwolf- Born To Be Wild
Supertramp- Take the Long Way Home
The Who- Baba O'Riely
The Byrds- Mr. Tambourine Man
Greatful Dead- The Golden Road
Dire Straits- Sultans Of Swing

These are just a few, but I love to hear these playing anytime, especially when I'm driving my bus.

My Road Trip mix:

U2 - Bad (live version)
Don Henley - Boys of Summer
Blues Brothers - theme from Rawhide
Seal - Crazy
Hapa - Ka Uluwehi o Ke kai
Paul Oakenfold - Starry Eyed Surprise
Stan Getz - 'Round Midnight
Aaron Copeland - Fanfare for the Common Man
Beethoven - 3rd Movement, Symphony 5
Neil Young - Old Man

More Recently, I've decided that Angels & Airwaves - The Adventure is being added.

And if I'm feeling squirrely, a Dr Demento Mix makes the ride that much more funny.

Ya' forgot the big one... "Radar Love", by Golden Earring.

Please add to your excellent lists most of the songs by Little Feat; seems like half of them were anthems to the Open Road! IMHO some of their music after Lowell George also qualifies as good road tunes.

Just returned to SoCal from Lake Tahoe via Highway 1 down the coast. Glad my kid had his IPOD & earphones, so that our varying opinions on music did not negatively influence our conversation, (Yah, I'm not a fan of most Rap.)

OK... back to lurk mode now...

I listen to the Dead or Jethro Tull when no one is around.

I listen to 80's Punk and NWA when I am in the city. 8)

But usually I am just content to listen to the engine, it is like music to my ears.
