I'm on a roll this year! It has been a blast. The bus took me to all but one show.

Eclispe MP3 head unit with Bose 201 house speakers, and it jams! When the interior is done I'll get some "real speakers", and maybe an amp and sub?

Queensryche - Jet City Woman

But any upbeat music works, as a rule.

I think any QR is a good pick. I prefer 'Operation Mindcrime'. Yes, the entire album! Joe Satriani is good bussin' music for me and mine. The Cars 'Greatest Hits'. Dream Theater and Sevendust. Godsmack. Judas Priest and the Scorpions. Sammy Hagar and Van Halen. Tesla. Iron Maiden's 'Powerslave'. The list is long!

Heh... I know the words to OM by heart. Yes, the whole friggin thing. "Educate the masses, we'll burn the white house down..."

I've been really trying to get into OM2 and just can't. It doesn't have the same energy.

I just bought a Tears for Fears "best of" cd. Dunno why. But it sounds good. :)

Hey PT Tom - please make a point of going to the show - you will NOT be disappointed. I would make it down to meet you but I have a work "function" I have to attend.... :x

mattg Thu Aug 17, 2006 6:00 am

Widespread Panic - orginal lineup mike houser on guitar - mcconell just ok
Grateful Dead (Live) - especially 70-74
Live Allman Brothers Band - still excellent in concert
Wilco
Bob Marley and the Wailers
Old and in the Way - That High, Lonesome Sound
Golden Smog
Ben Harper
Red Hot Chili Peppers

I listen to my ipod through my portable boom box since I still am yet to update from the orginal am radio. Although I am slow to embrace modern technology the ipod is solid.

I will do my best. Kids are at my sis's in OH, so I have no excuse not to go. :D Do you know any of the cats in the band?

Matt, I saw Panic in Indy last week. Post McConnell (thankfully). Herring will be a nice addition. Although I had always hoped the Dead would reform for some touring with him at lead.

Everybody, if you get the chance, check out this cat named Jamie Cullum. Play his stuff with your girl nearby and.......... 8)
Haven't driven my bus to his music yet, but come to think of it, I haven't driven my bus period.

Damn Casey, I'm glad you didn't double space that. You would have had your own page for one post! Nice list.

Matt, I din't make it to chicago. The Indy show was pretty darn good, I thought. But it had been a few years since I had seen them, so not much recent stuff to compare to.
Keane and Holt did an admirable job filling in. They did two excellent cover's of Neil Young's Are You Ready for ther Country, and Mountain's No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature.
Saw Trey and Mike in Chicago a couple of weeks before that. Pretty good show.

Up comig shows include: Subdudes, then Umphrey's McGee, then Dark Star Orchestra, and Chicago.
