View original topic: Help! Shipping from UK to Los Angeles (Share 40' container?)

I recently bought a car in the UK and have been getting shipping quotes to Los Angeles. The quotes I have received so far (for a single car in a 20' container) are ridiculous. The 40' container is going to be much more reasonable if I have someone shipping a car to share it with. Anybody have interest in this? Are there any shipping companies that may already have cars to consolodate?

Thanks, Mark

i've brought stuff over ro-ro. not for a while tho, the vehicles are too much money! this is the first i've heard of vehicles coming this direction for some time. everything is going over to the UK.

Believe it or not, I bought a 1940's era Alfa Romeo "Freccia d'Oro" (looks like the one that got blown up in The Godfather). Most cars are more expensive in the UK, but not all of them. I thought somebody might want to ship a RHD VW or old Land Rover back to California. I just got a quote for a 40' container and it is not too bad (per car) compared to the 20'.

Anyone have interest in shipping????
