This is my Volkswagen Club of the Philippines active member badge with number 042, This was awarded to me in 1994. Although this very badge is a second re-issue which is placed on our Type 3, "Sharky." The original one is installed on the Karmann Ghia vert and the first re-issue is intalled on our 1302s Super Beetle.

At the last count, the latest member that was awarded this badge is number 300.

Merry Christmas to all in your car club. Pinoy ako, and I love to see all the pictures that you guys post. The last time I was in the P.I. was 1995, way too long ago. My friend Dennis is there right now. His screen name is "lonslo61." He's hardcore VW pare. I am currently a member of the Vintage VW Club of America- San Diego chapter. Could I apply to be apart of your club? Because I am Pinoy, I would proudly display the badge on my ride. Got an application? Paying dues is no problem also. I know a couple Pinoy brothers that would be interested in joining also and being the U.S. representatives for your club..hope to hear from you soon...Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and most of all God Bless all of you and your VW's.

I'm sorry, but my plans were cancelled a couple weeks ago. I'm still here in beautiful Colorado digging myself out after we got hit with alot of snow. A crazy blizzard came through and trapped us in our house. I will be going this Easter and hopefully meet up with you guys in the P.I. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

That is cool, compadre. Sorry for the late posting. Thesre are some of the pictures taken during the December 2006 Vokkswagen show. Enjoy.

Our 1967 Karmann Ghia Vert and 1970 Fasty.

These are the pictures taken also during the December 2006 show which is the reunion of the Volkswagen Club of the Philippines that were very much active during the 90's. We are still active though, but the younger members are very hot that is why they have the floor now.

When you retturn to the Philippines, don't forget to inform me, we would be glad to welcome you to the VWCP.

Do check our local forum at www.vwcp.org and register. You can become a member of our local club here. But the club badge can only be awader upon reaching 100 points, which are earned in attending club meetings, activities, bug run, shows etc. To tell you the truth, we have chapters in Baguio City, Pangasinan, Quezon, Laguna, Bulacan, Cavite. etc. So I don't see any reason why a chapter in America won't be possible.

Your questioned are better addressed if you post these quetions at our forum. So, what are you waiting for, sign in the register now at www.vwcp.org.

Wow! Those are some nice cars! I have met some Thai VW fans, but none from the Philipines. Your club looks great!

When was the last year VW sold Beetles in the Philipines?
