sometime over the last week or so, the site has started requesting my e-mail address NUMEROUS times when I visit the site. but i'm also already logged in every time i visit and that never used to happen before. did i change something or is there a way i can make it stop? help, please. :-/

Where is it requesting your email?

I turned off the auto-logout because it was causing problems.

it's requesting it all over the place - i have my e-mail marked "private" so my firewall asks permission before sending it, and i get a bazillion requests with various TS pages - ad description lists, ads, gallery main page, pics, forums, you name it. sometimes get several requests in a row without changing pages. i'm baffled cause i haven't changed any settings on my end.

Ok, it shouldn't do that anymore, except for when you login.

i was mistaken - it's still doing it. each page of ad descriptions, each ad i open, each community page, etc. if i click a link in a forum post, i'll get like six requests for my e-mail from that one link. i don't have to log in - i'm already logged in everytime i visit (i used to have to log in to post to forums)...

The only place that retrieves your email is the login screen where it gets the value of an email cookie to fillout the login name for you.

You may want to clear your browser cache just in case.

i cleared everything and it's still doing it. each page of ad descriptions, each ad, each gallery thumbnail page & some pics, each forum page, etc. i'm not always logged in anymore since clearing everything, but it's still requesting e-mail addy.

All right, I think I know why it was doing that and I turned it off. You'll have to clear your "cookies" first, then it should be ok.

thanks. i'll try it again and see. my e-mail was acting funny (sending password a bazillion times) when it was on auto log-in ("remember my name and password") but quit when i changed that. just now it was still asking e-mail in the classifieds and galleries pages. logging out wasn't helping it before. i'll try clearing stuff again. thanks.
